I’ve been using the Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser for about a month now as my second-step in my double cleanse, primarily to remove makeup.

Price: $34 CAD for 150ml at Caudalie. Earn points on your purchase that you can redeem for full-size products!

Ingredients

Paraben, sulfate, silicone and alcohol-free. Vegan.

Includes fragrance, though I didn’t find this a problem as I don’t have sensitive skin.

Includes Glycerin and Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Water, which are conditioning for the skin.

The ingredient list is pretty small; full list here.

Review

This is a very gentle foam cleanser, at times a little too gentle. I say this because I find I need at least 2 pumps to effectively create a rich enough lather that thoroughly cleanses away heavy makeup. Light makeup is okay with 1-2 pumps.

HOWEVER, I can’t really complain about this because the product is meant to be a simple, gentle foam cleanse. This means that it’s probably safe to use this on your skin even if you aren’t wearing makeup.

SO, if you want a foam cleanser that isn’t too drying and is suitable for bare skin, this is it.

That said, I personally avoid using foam cleansers unless I wear makeup.

Further, this really doesn’t have a strong fragrance. It’s got that Caudalie grape scent, but it’s not bothersome or strong at all.

Any recommendations for foam cleansers? Let me know!
